Escape to Assam

Day 1: Guwahati:
Arrive Guwahati airport till 14.00 hrs & transfer to Hotel. Night halt at Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati – Tezpur (184 kms. / 4-5 hrs):
After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple and enjoy the boat ride in Brahmaputra river for visiting Umananda Temple situated in a small river island in Brahmaputra. After Lunch proceed to Tezpur. Evening visit Mahabhairav Temple. Night halt at Tezpur.

Day 3: Tezpur – Dirang (200 Kms./ 8 hrs):
Today early morning, drive to Dirang, Lunch on the way upon arrival, check into the hotel. Night halt at the Dirang.

Day 4: Dirange – Tawang (128 kms / 6-7 hrs):
After breakfast visit the regional apple Nursery, kiwi farm, Dirang Monastery. After early lunch proceed to Tawang& do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross Jung Falls and get some spectacular views. Night halt at Tawang.

Day 5: Tawang:
After breakfast visit the Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery. After Lunch visit the War Memorial commemorating the bravery of the Indian heroes of the Indo-China war of 1962. Witness the light & sound show in the evening. Night halt at Tawang.

Day 6: Tawang:
After breakfast drive high above town to the high altitude lakes of Pangong Tang Tso (popularly known as PT Tso). Sangestar Lake, Bum La Pass and China Border (subject to permission from Indian Army) (at your own cost). Night halt at Tawang.

Day 7: Tawang – Bomdila (170 kms / 6-7 hrs):
Morning after breakfast drive to Bomdila situated at an altitude of 8000 ft., En route witness the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, Also witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 13700 ft, the JaswantGarh War Memorial. Night halt at Bomdila.

Day 8: Bomdila – Kaziranga (200 Kms./7 hrs):
After breakfast visit Bomdila Monastery (Upper Gompa). After lunch proceed to Kaziranga National Park The land of one horned rhino. On the way visit Tippi On the banks of the river JiaBhoroli. Night halt at Kaziranga.

Day 9: Kaziranga:
Early morning proceed for the exclusive jeep safari & elephant safari at any of the range (Eastern/Central- Subject to Availability & Timing). Explore the wildlife of Kazirangaspecially the pride of Assam, One horned Rhinoceros, Wild Buffalo, Hog Deer, Swamp deer, red headed bill and various flora and faunas. Return back to hotel by lunch. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Kaziranga.

Day 10: Kaziranga – Shillong (250 kms / 5-6 hrs):
After breakfast proceed to Shillong, en route witness the Umiam Lake (Barapani) – is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty. Boat Ride in Lake (at your own cost), boat ride is subject to rules by the Authority. Night halt at Shillong.

Day 11: Shillong – Dawki – Mawlynong – Shillong (116 kms/3 hrs one way)
After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong Village. On arrival, visit the Living Root Bridge. Then visit the balancing rock. Drive Further 30 Kms from Mwallynong to reach Dawki. The Drive to Dawki is a beautiful drive along with Bangladesh border, en route blue-water river which is known as Umngotriver. Return back to Shillong. Night halt at Shillong.

Day 12: Shillong– Cherrapunjee – Shillong (60 Kms / 1.5 hrs one way)
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, En route visit the famous Elephant Falls. InCherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Eco Park. Drive back to Shillong. Night halt at Shillong.

Day 13: Shillong – Guwahati (140 Km./4 hrs):
After breakfast proceed to Guwahati airport to board flight for home destination with memorable experience of Flymate Holidays. (Flight to be booked aft 14.00 hrs). (In case passenger wants transfer at any different place or time they have to arrange taxi at their own cost).
